2. Principles

High Five Studio is an iOS app for creating short “Top 3/4/5” music videos for social media. All processing takes place locally on the user's device. Pondstack Software operates no servers that receive user data and receives no personal data from the app.

The app contains no telemetry, no analytics SDKs and no third-party advertising libraries.

3. Data processed locally

High Five Studio processes the following data on the device only:

• Camera recordings: the camera image is processed locally during recording and stored as a video file in the app's storage. With “Remove my background” enabled, the person is cut out on the device using Apple's Vision framework; no image or body data is transmitted or evaluated permanently.
• Audio files: songs picked via Files or Dropbox are copied into the app's storage and processed locally for playback, waveform, beat detection and export. Title, artist and cover are read from the file's metadata.
• Background photos and videos: media chosen via Apple's photo picker are used locally; the app gets no access to the rest of the library.
• Settings: slots, templates, layout and presets are stored locally (UserDefaults).
• Finished videos: are saved to Photos or shared only at the user's request.

4. Camera

The camera is used solely to record the video. The app does not access the microphone; the audio in the video comes only from the chosen songs. Access can be revoked at any time under Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera.

5. Photo library

To save finished videos the app requests “Add Photos” permission (write-only). Background media are chosen with Apple's photo picker, which requires no read permission.

6. Featured playlist (optional)

If the user enters a playlist link (e.g. Spotify, YouTube, SoundCloud, Apple Music, TIDAL, Deezer), the app loads the cover image directly from that service via its public oEmbed interface or the linked web page. Technically necessary data such as the IP address are transmitted to that service. Pondstack Software does not receive this data. The respective provider's privacy policy applies.

7. Sharing and Instagram (optional)

“To Instagram” first saves the video to Photos and then opens the Instagram app via its public URL scheme. The iOS share sheet can pass the video to any app. Further processing is done solely by the target app; Pondstack Software is not involved.

8. In-app purchase (StoreKit 2)

High Five Studio offers an optional one-time in-app purchase (PRO). Payment is handled exclusively by Apple. Pondstack Software receives no payment data. The app checks the purchase status locally via Apple's StoreKit.

9. Diagnostics

If the user has agreed to share diagnostics in iPhone settings, anonymized crash reports may be passed to the developer via Apple. This can be turned off under Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

10. No tracking

High Five Studio contains no tracking technologies, builds no user profiles and uses no data for advertising. This is declared to Apple in the app's privacy manifest (PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy).

11. Your rights

As Pondstack Software collects no personal data during normal use, the data stays with the user on their own device. Where data is processed in email communication (e.g. support), you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). 12. Right to lodge a complaint

You may lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. The authority responsible for Pondstack Software is the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Ludwig-Erhard-Str. 22, 20459 Hamburg, datenschutz.hamburg.de.

13. Changes

This policy may be updated when the app or the law changes. The current version is available at pondstack.com/highfivestudio-privacy.
